Why the dentist office really is scary!

You do not want to go to Mom's office and get your teeth fixed after you see how weird and scary a dentist office can be. So many weird things they use I am going to start flossing! =)

It's Almost Thanksgiving

Although this Monday is overwhelming I can't wait until I go home tomorrow. I have had so much due today and I am still working on my speech outline for an informative speech on Mad Cow Disease. Oh boy! (I didn't get to pick the topic) Last week I found out that my book cover was selected to be an example for next semester classes. It's exciting.

Today in Photography class our assignment was a photo contest. The picture has to have the theme of reflection in it. Here is the photo I used:

I took this while I was in Chicago back at the beginning of the semester.

Semi-Formal Weekend

This weekend was a busy weekend with hockey games and Aphio events. Aphio's semi-formal was at Don Pablo's. It was a really nice restaurant inside. Very pretty. Thank goodness for tripods I took a picture of my dress......

I haven't had many projects to work on over the last couple weeks but I will keep posting up pictures and projects at least once a week so keep checking back here.
Love you!

Aphio Regionals

Aphio regionals this year was at Case Western. It was a ton of fun. I learned a lot about leadership and met so many new friends. We had a banquet on Saturday night and there was a dance. On Sunday we went to the Rock & Roll hall of fame. It was a great weekend.

Here is a little slideshow of the pictures I took over the weekend.

My Book Cover Assignment

Assignment: make a book cover from one of the three book choices

I chose the book Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman. I wanted to make it very dreamy and mystical.

CLICK THE BOOK COVER TO VIEW FULL VERSION!

You can't really tell but the background has light grey circles that intertwines at the binding of the book.

Trick or Treat

Over the Halloween weekend I got the chance to carve pumpkins. All the pumpkins that I got to choose from had great stems so I decided to use it as my nose. It was a fun night of carving and eating pumpkin seeds. Mmmm....

I didn't really know what to be for Halloween this year so I bought some
wings and was a fairy. This is probably the only good picture that shows most of the costume. I didn't take that many pictures. The dress was three colors: white, purple, and black and it had
pockets!
The guy's name is Patrick and he is my twin in Aphio [meaning we have the same big].

This is a picture of my eye makeup I did. Thanks to color guard and gymnastics I have mastered the art of eye makeup.

Environmental Portrait

Photography Class
Assignment: environmental portrait of someone in their environment

I went around to the different businesses and shops at Bowling Green. I started at Joann's Fabric and took pictures of the people that worked there. After going to Famous Footwear, Joann's, and Sears Hardware, I decided to go into a tanning salon. I crawled into the bed, trying to make a frame out of the bed. Nick, my subject in the picture, was very photogenic and helped make this picture look interesting and pleasing.

BGSU Adventure

A trip around campus.....

There is a little factory down the street from my apartment. There is an old sliding door on the side of the building.

I love the different vibrant colors of autumn... rich reds, golds and oranges, and baby blue skies.

Half Way There

It's officially November and I am half way through the semester. Can you believe that? I have gone from switching my major at Miami to transferring to an entirely different/better school. This large step in my life was a big one and I didn't know how it was going to turn out. Although I miss my friends at Miami it was time to move on. Growing up I moved about every 2-ish years. I was at Miami for 3 and I was past due for a new adventure. So the overall outcome..... drum roll please......

I LOVE IT HERE!!!!

Yes it's true. I feel as if this new adventure was my best yet. For once I get excited to go to classes [except for speech]. I mean who doesn't want to go to class and design book covers or play with Photoshop? The people here are really down to earth and fun. I have many awesome friends at Miami and have made many new friends here. I can't wait for the day when my two sets of friends meet.
